does anyone know howmuch it would cost for some new brakes on my car if anyone has done this recently?TIA

Do you mean stock?
Upgrade to 325 vented rotors? M3 brakes? BBK kit?
I recently done the E36 M3 front brake upgrade.

I did a full write-up of my brake replacement experience. See this thread for more info. (http://www.318ti.org/forum/showthread.php?t=9035) I paid $231 for full brake replacement parts and about $180 labor ($90/axle).
