Need help with swap

Hi
I have 318is and I will be drooping in M50 engine,so I have few questions.
1.When removing old engine should I remove it whit transmission or not?
2.How hard will be disconnect transmission from motor while still on car?
3.Can I use A/C compressor from M42?
I appreciated any sugestion,and if somebody want to help or just watch and drink beer let me know I live in NH.

Are you swapping into an e36 or e30 318is? If it's an e36, then the M50 mates right up with the tranny, and M50 ac bracket and you're set.

I'm not as familiar with the requirements of an M50 going into an e30, but it has been done before.
