im looking at getting a spoiler for the car and want to know what you think of these wings.

personaly i like the one on the tan and blue car, i believe its the ac snitzer 3 piece. as for the blue car i have the roof spoiler already its an ms design roof spoiler and i ordered it from europe about 2 years ago. wish the guy had a side shot so i could see its profile

if i remember right its a rieger piece dont know where to get that one tho but the other one i think is an ac schnitzer 3 piece but i also saw a knock off of it on the wings west site

I'd say the one in the middle looks the best. I thinks thats actually a rieger spoiler.

th eonly reason i dont like the middle one is because of the post in the middle. but i also like the other one because it looks as if it flows well with the roof spoiler i have

Out of those 3 I would go with the three piece. i believe Ti Time has it and it looks good.

juni if you speak japanese then you could ask him cause i got the pics from the japanese 318ti club site, its one of the links on the home page. i like to see what other people do to their cars so that i could get ideas. by the way way i wish i could speak japanese to find out what part number their parcel shelfs (shelf under steering wheel and glove box) are cause if you look at the pics you'll notice all their cars have them

yeah L84THSKY post some pics for all to see

but do you guys think that spoiler would look good with the window spoiler. cause thats the roof spoiler i have, and for some reason that combo on the blue car looks like it flows better, plus i havent found a pic with the other spoiler and window spoiler together so i really dont have something to compare to aside from visualizing the look. does anyone know how to photoshop cause that might help

I already have the Hartge Roof spoiler installed. I will take pics of the Reiger Hatch Spoiler, and also rest it on my hatch to show what it would look like installed.

Wow Eric those pics are great looking!!!:biggrin: Now that might be the spoilers for my ti. I like the raised look to add a little sportiness to the rear. The other choice like Hartge and factory M one would be my second choice for a more subtle look. More I see the roof spoiler the more I like it... decisions... decisions!

looks good, but i really don't know if I'm liking it I'm gonna try and photoshop the pics with my roof spoiler and see what happens. plus to me the way it just sits on the lid and doesn't overlap kinda bothers me, it makes it seem as if it doesn't flow with the ass of the car, but if you look at the red ti with the ltw wing it looks great it looks like it flows with the whole rear end and blends into the sides which is what i like

I would get the hartage roof spoiler and then get the CF lip spoiler of Bavauto.com. Its basically just a little raised strip of CF but it would look really good if it were combined with a roof spoiler.

I just bought the last Hartge rear spoiler from Auto-mark.com....thanks for the link Moku. I think the Hatge spoiler looks by far the best...it go's perfectly with the tis design. I dont like the Reiger spoiler because it makes the ass of the ti even higher than it already is!
I will post pictures of the spoiler when i get it, paint it and mount it.

Not sure if they ship to the UK, but BavAuto (http://www.bavauto.com) has both styles.

It's VERY cheap! I paid just for the hatch spoiler ( the ///M rear wing ) 300 EUR (paint job included)!
PS: That means about 380 $

I put a m style lip spoiler on mine it just sticks on peel of tape and stick easy and alot cheaper looks better than just putting nothing on it at all $49.00 on ebay comes painted allready black.any body who has it on there car ?

This tail spoiler was made by the German Motorsport Division especially for the compact model. So I think nothing looks better, especially if you have the whole ///M package.
Anyway...it looks great on my car.

Later edit: Don't say anything about the muffler tip. I know it ruins the whole back end look but I will change it soon. :P

back to the subject of spoilers, heh heh, i hate them on the compact (apart from the AC one). the mtech (boot) one's weird, it makes the boxy back end look rectangley and too tall, those reiger one's are just mingin they dont suit any shape of the car.
i had the upper mtech spoiler (top of window) on when i bought the car, i ditched it. if anyone wants it, fifty quid painted in cosmosschwarz. like in one of the above pics. uk peeps only though.

Technically you are wrong here. BMW never made a 332ti,what ACS did was buy a 318ti,stripped the engine out dropped in a 3.2l then threw on some ACS accents and made upgrades to most parts to handle the power. They only made one of these cars.

So to sum it up bmw did not make a 3.2l.......

imo its a bmw , although its a schnitzer ;)

but its till a compact with a 3.2 that was available through BMW showrooms, not a D.I.Y job so it does fill the requirements in my eyes of a bonafied BMW

Tyler is right. BMW never made a compact with a 3.2 liter. And when I said that I didn't ment the "endorsed tuners"...or some dude that bought a compact and added a 3.2 / M engine.
I was reffering to the models you could buy from your dealer. A series model of 3.2 WAS NEVER made by BMW. So...

seriously alex.. 3 weeks is old news now. and `I´ still think it qualifies as a genuine BMW with a 3.2

it, to me is the same as an e30 alpina B6 s with the m5 3.5 plant or the Hargte 32-24v with the s50 version..

imo, these BMW examples are all (although not now anyway) available as spec list extras, as would be electric windows, individual trim, sports steering wheels and/or "cali" roofs

If your pocket was big enough, BMW would put together one of these specced versions together, and would be available to you from your local showroom.

Now..

if your point means to entail, that the reason you can´t agree with me is because you´ve never seen for for sale at your local "car trader" or seen a picture for one on ebay then thats not my problem.

Also, by your rational, a Scnitzer,Hartge,Alpina or Racing Dynamics BMW ISN`T a BMW?!?

well the next time i see a CLS E36 with the wide body and fully raced and bluprinted 3.3 engine(straight from BMW btw) i´ll be sure to inform you of this bogus example that surely won´t be of intrest to a puritan sheep like yourself.

not yet. still waiting. they said they didnt have it so they have to fabricate more. but once i get it ill post pics for sure. but if they cant get it im gonna get a refund.

edit: just called the company a minute ago. made it sound like i was a new customer wanting to buy the same spoiler. they said they have it, so then, BAM i said i already ordered one. and that i wanted to see whats going on. i was forwarded to a guy. seemed real cool, nice, legit. said its being held at customs...(??) and waiting to be released from them. told them i wanted it shipped by wednesday or ill want a refund. maybe that'll speed up the process eh?...

So since Im not going to go through 7 pages of this, how many people have a lip spoiler, like the ones on the E46 M3s or E39 M5s? I wanna do something back there but since Im not sure how long the car will be around (Ive been saying that for years...) I dont wanna spend a lot of money on a wing/spoiler.
