I installed a Sirius Sat. radio right above my ash tray with just enough room to get the ash tray open just this january.....i love the damn thing! I dont think i can go back to conventional radio again.
What kind of Sat. radio do u have (XM or Sirius)?
Where is it installed?
Bad buy, or cant drive without it?

I have mine wired up through the sunroof motor cover. It's wedged between the interior light and the rear view mirrow for now. When I finish, I will have it mounted just below the rear view mirror, attached to the stem of the mirror. That way I won't ever be looking down to see what's on Sirius.

I have XM. I would probably go to sirius but my moms Yukon comes stock with a satilite radio reciver and antenna and she can only get XM so thats what Im stuck with unless I want to pay full price for service. I installed mine myself and pulled out the ash tray and put it in the space the ash try would be in. That space perfectly fits the radio and the extra wire. I then ran the wire under the center counsel plastic and under the drivers seat. From there I tucked the wire into the side of my back seat and ran it out of the top of the hatch. The only problem with this is that when I go through a car wash or if it rains really hard water leaks through where the antenna exits the hatch.

I have sirius... and I never listen to regular radio anymore.. It really sucks by comparison.. I have a clarion headunit that has an integrated sirius receiver so I don't have any extra units hanging out... When I had my sirius replay unit in the Ti I had it sitting in the tray above the shifter...

I had XM up until about 4 weeks ago when my receiver died. I had one of hte old old sony units that I bought back in like 2002. Looking to replace my head unit with one that supports satellite radio -- but need to buy books for school first, lol.

I miss it a lot.

Ok, here is some pics of how I did it. Luckily everything fit perfectly and there was always a place to hide the wire. Sorry if these take a while to load.

Just pull the rubber on the rain gutter channel on the roof and route the antenna just past the passenger door about hinge level. From there go under the door jamb seal and behind the glovie. The wire can be routed right to the ashtray mounted unit and there are no exposed wires or leaks..

Like I said, it's only temporary. I need to build a bracket to have it sit just below the rear view mirror. It's wired up through the sunroof motor cover panel.

"The Bridge" play the most JACKSON BROWNE!!!!!

Either by attaching them in the message, see options below when writing message. The other way is to load pics on a storage site, and use the image link icon to attach them.

I use photobucket.com to upload my pics to the internet and then you put the URL in your reply by hitting the image icon, pretty simple to use and its free.
