My check Engine light has been on for a while, so I got it scanned.
Said it was my Cam Shaft Sensor. The estimit to get it replaced
was $375. Is this good? Can I replace this myself, or is it too much
of a pain in the ass to take off the intake manifold and all that.
Anyone ever done this?

Is your car running ok?
If the sensor isn't affecting the engine's performance I'd save the money. Just check the codes every now and again to make sure that's the only one.

YIKES! My indy mechanic charged me $188.00 for...
fuel filter... hose clamps... oil... oil change... oil filter... cam sensor. The cam sensor itself cost me $96.
So, yeah, I'd say that $375 is a little steep for just changing the sensor.

changing the sensor is easy. The hardest part is removing the top of the intake from the lower half. Three bolts and you can pull it off and flop it to the side so you can get at the connector.
While you are there, spend the $15 and get a new gasket set from the dealer for the manifold joint. Might also want to check the vacuume lines while you are down there. The lines that run from the injectors to the intake will run you about $50

yeah i got the CEL for the cam sensor a while back and i shelled out the $100 for the part. Once i got the sensor in the mail the CEL went off and its been off for 2 months now... so i'd give it some time if i were you just to see if it corrects itself

That's a pretty good plan of action, but to quote my mechanic regarding the cam sensor "it will eventually leave you stranded if you let it go too long."
I have a brand new one ready for shipment, $60 and its yours.
