my auto is slipping .. well


when i stop at a stop sign it'll go in to neutral for like 30 sec then ill give it a lil gas an it slip and then engage. i know i have a leak somewhere but where can i add fluid for the mean time or what all should i check . i was told the trans cooler was the problem .. :confused:

I'm not sure where to add it, but you should get some transmission stop leak (I recommend Sea Foam Transmission stuff, replace your filter and fluid after a hundred miles or so after adding the stop leak.

I don't think you can do this yourself. I heard the trans fluid has to be at the right temp to be changed and filled up again. I could be wrong but have not heard otherwise.

Hey!! You can start with your transmission mounts and motor mount it causes the same effect as low fluid.
If you have a bad trans. mount when you brake it will drop causing that the fluid won't flow properly causing the slip!!
It doesn't mean that you don't have to check the oil but It happened to me to and the trans. mounts fix my problem!
