Bought a tail pipe tip.

I bought a tail pipe tip off of ebay a few weeks ago and received it on saturday. I haven't put it on yet & might hold off till spring so the salt doesn't mess it up. I didn't want a flashy chrome one,always wanted a black one or like gunmetal finish. So i bought a black one for $18-19.

When did you post this link? I purchased this towards the end of November, I might've seen the link not really sure. I was looking at one guys listing and clicked on see everything for a compact and thats how i came across it.

Well thats the one thing i was not satisfied by. It states at the bottom of the page 2-3day delivery and it took me about 10-11 days to receive it. I was in no hurry for it but if it says that for the shipping thats what you expect to get.

basically just give ur car a better look, it slides over the piping already there, so insted of a dull looking tail pipe u get a nice shiny black one

You don't gain anything buy it just fills in the hole in the bimper more and looks better than a rust pipe sticking out. I'm holding off on mine till atleast april,no sense putting it on for the winter.

i went ahead and put mine on, since the winters in this part of tx arnt bad at all, so theres nothing to mess it up

My cousin got me hooked on starbucks in hawaii they have some kind on triple thai drink thats awesome but they do not sell them over here. Damn her.

Hmm strange looks like it does not fit on my tailpipe. I tried putting it on to see how it looks and it wouldn't go on more than an inch. I tried pushing it with some force and it did not want to budge. Seems like i might have to clean up the tailpipe with some sandpaper to get it smooth and see if that helps out. If that doesn't work it's going on my friends jetta.

wut i did, was i pushed it on as much as i could by hand, then took a towel and put it over the tip, and got a rubber mallet and hammered it on all the way. it worked perfect, no dents or scratches

The tip fits snug on the BMW tail pipe. Not going to come off easily. I used a towel and a wooden block to tap it in. I left a little room so it will stick out more not all the way underneath the bumper. :biggrin:

rubber mallet that sucker on there....the bmw tips are tight like that, but that is so they wont ever come off!
