Time for a shameless plug. If any of you are into concert band or big band music, I encourage you to try to make it to one of our concerts. We tour the whole country on a 2.5 year rotation, so we'll be in your neighborhood at some point. The current tour schedules are available for the Concert Band & Soldiers' Chorus (http://www.army.mil/FIELDBAND/pages/schedule/bc_sched.html) and the Jazz Ambassadors (http://www.army.mil/FIELDBAND/pages/schedule/ja_sched.html) on our website. All of our concerts are free and open to the public. Most of the concerts are ticketed, but you should be able to get in without them. There are downloads available on the site if you want to sample what you'll be hearing. If you do make it to a show, let me know what you thought of it.

Please tell me that you don't play trombone! LOL I know a guy here with a blue '98 318ti Sport who plays trombone with the Nashville symphony. Actually, he recently sold the car to my mechanic... but it would still be way too weird if you also play trombone. :-)

No, I don't play trombone. I used to play clarinet, but these days I'm just doing tour planning and logistical stuff. Honestly, the band plays at a higher level than I could manage at this point. They do let us support folks play sometimes though. We get to do the inaugural parade every 4 years and I got to play with them last year for a thing we did in Norway. BTW, we are coming to Nashville.
