To all you CAI guys

I just got done putting in my CAI, and I was wondering what everybody did with that vacuum tube (i think) coming from the stock airbox. Did you buy a little filter for it? I just dont know what to do with it. Ill post a pic later on of it. I was running short on time before I had to go to work.

Put a small filter on it. It's for the secondary air pump.

I bought the Cosmo intake.

Did you get the regular pipe or the 3.5 evo? Any pics?

I got the regular pipe. But, with the addition of my depo headlights its currently a short ram until I get a chance to jack up the car and run the lower pipe again (I pulled it to put in the lights).

I really should just go out and take a bunch of pictures of my car. But, I would have to clean it out first!

Can you fit the pipe with the DEPOs or the reason you have to jack it up is because the only way to get it to fit is through the bottom?

with the cosmo intake, wihtout the depos, you have to jack it up and remove the wheel well liner because the filter doesnt fit through the gap between the brake duct and some random metal thing in the car.

I'd sure like to see what he is talking about. I have Depos, and my CAI filter fits.

i dont have depos so i dont know, im just saying that with the cosmo intake as designed and bolted on from the box, you have take your wheel off and remove the weel well liner and put the filter on from underneath.

i didnt say it doesnt work with depos...

/digging up old thread

It took me all day to figure out what the hell this hose connected to the airbox did. I bought a Cosmo Short Ram (waiting for it to get here) and I was trying to figure out what I was going to do with this hose. Now I know what it is, and to get a small filter for it.

Did any of you guys successfully find a small filter to go on it?

yea just go to local autozone ect. and buy a mini filter.. should be in same area where the regular air filters are.. the filter itself seems not to fit.. but use the clamp.. and it should fit with no problems.. nice and snugg
