I have been listening to my front brakes give off some squealing noise here recently and they have been dusting more than normal. So I was thinking maybe it is time to replace them soon. So I am looking for some replacement pads but I want to make sure I get some good ones. I have been looking at Mintex pads and they are 44.00 dollars. They say they have long life and are almost dust free. Then the other pads are Pagid and they cost 54.00 dollars. These are supposed to be quiet and made of a compound that are rotor friendly. Well what do you guys and girls think?

Can't believe no one has replied yet. My personal experience is that Pagid have way less dust than the stock OEM's. Not sure what they would have been but the difference was huge and they were still very friendly. Looked into Hawk and Porterfield but they seemed like overkill.

Probably because while the date on the post shows yesterday, it only came up on the new posts within the last couple hours.

I think you should buy my new set of Pagid pads. Let me know if you are interested.

There are so many thread about brake pads under search. Here is what I recommend Hawks HPS, Pagid, BMW OEM, and Axxis Metal Master in that order. L8 is a good guy so you can go that route and buy his new Pagid pads. :) You might want to change some new brake disc along with pads if needed.

No one's mentioned Porterfield. Big fan. R4 for the race cars and R4S's for the street. Don't eat rotors. Dust is... well.. dust. never measured output.

I run the hawk HPS with the larger calipers and roters from the 328... best bang for the buck I could have done.

I am using PBR Deluxe Plus pads (Organic) very minimal brake dust.

What about the EBC Green stuff? What do you think? I am using textar pads, good but too much dust!

I changed to Pagids when i upgraded my brakes to the 328 calipers. They seem to perform quite well and there is noticeably less brake dust.

I like the Hawk HPS pads - never fade and lower dust than stock

I recently picked up some Akebono Euro pads. So far so good, quiet and grip nice.

There is like 4 possible companies in the world that make brake pad material. If you compare closely you can tell who is who. I've heard but not confirmed that EBC is just Performance Frictions High end metalic.
