you can buy the shorty seperate, it's the same M42B18 engine.(94+)..the rest of the exhaust can be fabed..thinking of this cause I am planning to replace my cat with a track-pipe this summer.

The good thing about exhaust/manifolds..a good welder can make almost anything you want.

That race head makes me think of a S14.

This is (http://www.supersprint.com/a_ra_prodotti.asp?modello=bmwE3631) the correct racing system for 318iS, not intended to use in street... I don't know why!
It seems that they don't make anything Race edition for 318ti... sorry:tongue:

anything can be made to fit.

and we don't have inspections/emissions in Florida..So I'll risk a shortened midsection if I have to.

I'd expect the dyno sheet off the first one to be better than the 4 in to 1. Check out a NASCAR engine next time you get a chance they use tri-Y stepped headers. 4 into 1 tends to lose all the lower band vs sacrificeing like 2% in the upper power band with the tri-y. Pius the torque numbers are going to move way up in the RPM range with the 4 into one. Probably OK for just drag racing but everywhere else I'd bet on the first header to win for performance. Especially for road racing or auto-cross.
