turbo'ing the m44/m42 is very rare, and hard from what i've heard. Downing Atlanta makes a supercharger kit, that is highly reliable and a lot of members on here and bimmerforums have it. It's also easy to install and makes a good amount of power. retail is like 3,200, and they work on stock Ti's. Technique tuning makes upgrades for this kit. http://www.techniquetuning.com/m44sc.htm. The only down fall to the DASC kit is that it relies on a rising rate fuel pressure regulator. So if you have the money i would go stage 2 at least, and replace it with a larger fuel injector. With some bolt on mods ie: exhaust... members have reported around 190 rwHP.

I think you'd have more response and knowledge on bimmerforums' induction forum. I don't know of any turbo'd ti's around here. Well maybe a few, but they don't post much.
