When's the last time you changed it?

If you're 60% sure it's the fuel filter, start there.

How are you 60% sure its your fuel filter? How many miles does your car have and when is the last time you had the fuel filter changed?

Probably the fuel pump is dying or has died probably cause you haven't changed the fuel filter. Check to see if the fuel pump turns on.

i know that if you leave the car alone for a while im guessing that the fuel accumlates and it starts for a second or 2 well anyways i really dont have a clue i checked all my fuses and i dont see any major problems. WHat really stumps me is that my Ti was working ok then all of a sudden it stops. if anyone has any suggestions or comments please help me out :)

Thanks !!
my ti has about 190,000 miles and it has a new engine in it from a totaled ti so 50,000

Ok, it may be the fuel pump, as Viper3812 stated. But you checked your fuses and they were all ok, so the fuse for the fuel pump was fine, correct? Fuel filter definatly needs to be changed though, with almost 200k miles on it it may be clogged.

Check the fuse for the fuel pump once more and change the fuel filter. If those aren't the issues, then your fuel pump itself, is bad.

Turn the key to first position and take out your back seat to hear for the fuel pump. If you don't hear anything it's dead.

Start looking at your local parts stores for a fuel filter and fuel pump. Hit your local junkyards up for a fuel pump and as a last resort check the dealer. June 16th is coming quick and you don't have time to wait for a mailorder. You could always get a new pump later, but for now, the priority is showing up to that meet! Anyone in socal have a spare fuel pump or possibly able to help this guy?

i bought my fuel pump from ko performance for $115 and it shipped out from California so if he got it early this week he would definitely get it by then.

Oh heck yeah, I forgot about that. KO Performance effin rocks! go to www.koperformance.com and order a pump tonight, then email JohnPaul at: sales@koperformance.com He expedited my shipment and got my o2 sensors to me in 2 days. Their prices are pretty reasonable too.

BTW, there's a shop in Costa Mesa, CA called "Mesa Performance". They're BMW specialists and carry just about everything that you'll need for you car.
