Hi, I got a E36 318ti 1995 with approx 106000 mileage, and when the car is cold and I put my foot down I can hear a tapping noise from the engine, when it has warmed up it is still there when I accelerate but alot quieter. Could this be the timing chain due for replaecment or is it my tappets?
Can I do any checks to find if it is the tappets or the timing chain?
