I found a good way to clean the cloth in the sports seats, if you have a home carpet cleaner with an upholstery attachment, use it. I had bought every upholstery cleaner can from the local stores, none of which worked.

When we bought a Bissell ProHeat 2x to clean our carpets at home I thought I would give it a try, and that worked wonders on my seats. I wish I had a before/after picture. If you don't have a home machine take it to a carpet cleaner and see if they will clean it, or a car detail shop should be able to as well.

My seats were spotted from my coffee leaving the cup holder in fast turns, water bottles dripping on the seat mixing with dirt, etc. They were really disgusting, and it drove me nuts to see the stains. The pretty red/black cloth was more brown/black and splotchy.

When I was cleaning them, the water that the machine was sucking up was brown and disgusting. I still need to run over them once more after they dry out since I finally figured out how to use the machine properly, and I missed a few spots.

If you look in the photo you will see a couple of the spots I missed, the entire seat was that way before with nasty stain circles, etc. Now the seat is as bright as new in most spots.

Do you guys think that renting a machine like this (http://www6.homedepot.com/tool-truck-rental/Carpet_Cleaner/95371/) would work?

Hope so!
