Just a quick question: the mechanic called me up saying my a/c needs a refill and quotes me at $100? Is it just me or is that ridiculously expensive?

Does anyone have a link on how to refill A/C? It has been a while since mine was done.

Thanks,

This is about the best I could find. He recharges the system after replacing the condenser.

Get a bottle from AutoZone with R-134a and a refill kit. Attach to the side you're supposed to (I forget which, High or low, bottle will say). Charge till the needle hits the Green/Yellow border, or till it's cool enough.

I helped both of my friends charge thier A/C and I got mine done a little while ago too. Well just like Pnosker said go to autozone. It is the low side you want to connect to. They say that if you connect high side the can could burst. Dont think that would feel good in your hand. I only saw one place to connect it to anyways but good luck and let us know how it all came out.
