Got In Car Accident [Archive]

Well guys...i got in an accident. But it wasnt my Ti. It was my dad's GSR.

This accident should have NEVER happen but the other stupid driver caused it. And as far as i know, there wasn't any witnesses. It happen so freaking quick but this is what i remember.

Im coming down the street and the traffic light turns green, so a truck that was making a left turn on the intersection was suppose to wait for me to pass by. So that truck decided to storm that left turn to beat me. And well he did. I had blinked my highbeams at him like saying "dude wtf, you cut me off" So i nearly missed him, say 2 cars lengths. When outta of a sudden the car behind that truck does the same and BAM, we collided. So this means a second car within those seconds also tried to cut me off and well we hit. What i dont understand is WTF was this person thinking?!?!?!?! Not only did i just miss the car infront of her, but she also decides to beat me to the left turn?

The airbags go off, and i start to choke and gasp for air. I took a big hit, and i couldnt breathe. Not only i couldnt breathe but that powder was making it worse. I tried to get out of the car but it was locked. I ended up getting outta the passenger door and threw myself on the ground trying to get a hold of myself.

Im pissed off cuz i had my 2 front teeth chipped last year and spent almost 1k to get them fixed and got veeners. They broke again. I was really mad to see that my front teeth got broken after getting them fixed. I was also pissed cuz my dad's car got wrecked.

As off right now, my upper body hurts really bad. My chest, my neck, and my back. My chest has a big slash. And i got a big cut on my knee. My knee hurts a litle bit too. I woke up this morning and I instantly got very dizzy and started throwing up. So i went back to sleep.

From what i heard, the other driver got token to the hospital. I didnt see who she was at all.

Her sister comes and starts talking all this sh!t to me. And i told her to leave me the f*ck alone and to go away and stop talking sh!t because she wasnt there and if you have common sense, just look at the way my car has been hit and youll know whos fault it is. I also told her, if you or your sister have a legit drivers license, you would know that the person making a left turn has to wait for all cars to have gone by to make a left turn. Not only did one beat me and nearly missed that car and failed to wait, your sister tried the same thing.

She starts calling me a drunk. So i said, yea ok im going to be drunk when im coming back home from work. Also, what makes you think i would want a DUI when i have an exam to take this weekend to be a police officer.

More talking happen, and i just told her to get away from me. Then the brother comes and same thing with the S talking so i just said whatever.

Im glad i didnt get severely injured, i am devastated about my teeth, but hopefully the veeners now can be taken off, and put new ones on. Cuz i really dont want a root canal.

Anyone have any idea how long this soreness can last? If i get Icy/Hot it should recover the muscles faster correct?

I dont know how many of you are glad this happen to me but i told this story cuz at any given moment anything can happen. Lets put it this way, i was only 2 blocks away from getting home.

I took another look my teeth, and it looks like the actual veeners broke, not the teeth again. So most likely i didnt damage the nerve on the tooth and all i gotta do is get same veeners. I thought my real tooth had chipped up again.

Damn dude. all this happened while i was gonna meet u up too. Sry that happened to u last night. That bitch better pay for all the damages, get something out of her cuz its her fault for sure. u were hit the left front side, DUDE! dumb bitches like that should not be driving. Good thing it wasnt ur Ti too, or eles u'd have to buy another one and part out the crashed one.

Sue her for what? Pain and suffering? All i want is for her insurance to pay my dad.

I wouldn't really be able to prove anything. I refused to be taken to the hospital. But she did went to the hospital.

I didnt want to go to the hospital because i dont have insurance. I knew i wasnt severely injured so i said i didnt want to go. Id rather have the money to fix my teeth again rather than pay the hospital to tell me im fine and im just body sore.

Glad your okay. Sucks about your dad's car. What's going to happen to it? Were you able to get any pictures of both cars right after the accident? It's definitely her fault so she has to pay up for sure. Good thing you still have the ti, but what about your dad? Do you guys have another car for him to drive? I hope he's not pissed off at you.

Are you going to be able to make it to the San Diego meet?

Yes i took pictures, and i took pictures of the way the cars were faced. It shows how my car was facing straight, and hers facing my driver fender, showing that she ran into me. YOu can look at the impact.

Im ok, i just have a hard time moving around. I called in sick for today. Sucks is that my teeth are broken and tommorow i gotta go to the CHP to take my test that way.

Yes, im sure by next week ill be non sore and go to san diego. Im going to continue my life normal.

I still got to get things done for our shirts. Ill probably do that today, or on monday.

I need advice for the incident for me to win the case.

It seems like i walked away normal. Yes of coarse my whole body and my neck hurts a lot. I also have a few scratches on me.

But zboot said that for me to win the case, i need to give some medical report to show i got injured and for a dentist to take a look at my teeth?

WOW man im sry to hear all this happened like a day after we meet!! Well the good thing is your still ok even though you have some lil scratches and pain that will pass. I have some advice, eventhough it is her fault she went to the hospital so she can lie and say she broke/injured her neck or something and get your insurrance to pay for the bills. You should have went to the hospital because then you have viable evidence that you had suffered some damage to your body. Go to our local physician ASAP to get some kind of report that you do have pain and the accident did do more than cosmetic damage to your car. The sooner you act on trying to make a paper trail of evidence that supports your case the faster and easier you will win. Now you said no witnesses that another issue you will have to deal with because she had a sister and brother?? that means she can totally lie about the accident and make it our fault. Your are going to have to get EXACT info on the accident and hope the bitch doesnt try to pull something to try and sue you. Man i told you to sell your dads car to my cousin lol look on the bright side....you can sell the engine for over 3k

and that smoke from the airbags hurts like a mother but it will pass in 2 days. I had to inhale that when my air bags went off too, burns your lungs like crazy!!

The sister and brother showed up after the incident. I guess the got called by her. I literally crawled outta the car gasping for air and threw my self in the ground. I was breathing so hard and trying to calm myself. My chest was hurting so bad. I called my mom while i was gasping for air and told her to come cuz i was just down the street.

I hate that the first car cut me to make his left turn. The girl behind that truck should have saw how close that truck was to hitting me and she still decided to try to beat me to it too.

My insurance rate will go up for me now, which sucks cuz its not my fault. I lost 90 dollars for not going to work today also.

I just hope my body doesn't still hurt by the time i need to take my physical ability test for the CHP.

Gracias dude. Im getting a lot better now. I just get dizzy from time to time but not so much no more. My neck is feeling a lot better along with the rest of my body. bruce is going down too.

You know, before i got the Ti, this exact Integra was the one i was suppose to buy. My dad's friend didnt want to sell it to me. At the time, i was looking for an Integra and got the Ti instead when i saw her. But then the Integra still fell in my house. I still got a joy of driving it. Now its totaled :frown:

Those pics are going to save your ass in court. You were clearly in your lane and she was turning. She was required to yield even though the truck didn't. Email those to her insurance company and tell them you want a new car, new teeth and your neck & back hurts. You'll be sportin an M3 in no time.

I TOTALLY agree with Jess. Even though i hate dealing with insurance and trying to find the most beneficial way of things. This will help you out a lot. Take this out with the insurance company and i guarantee you will love the outcome.

BTW, be sure to mention that both of you had a green light, she didn't have a green arrow. Seriously Dude, you're going to get paid BIGTIIIIIME. Don't settle for anything less than 50k and don't get a lawyer unless you absolutely have to. Lawyers know that you're about to win a huge settlement and they'll do everything they can to rip you off. With your photos of the scene, the vehicles and your injuries, you won't need a lawyer if this goes to court. If you haven't already, go to a doctor while you're still sore and get checked out. Be sure to get a written copy of the medical examination. Be sure to tell him/her about your dizzieness and vomiting because those are sure signs of a concussion. And don't worry about the fact that you didn't go away in an ambulance, whiplash usually doesn't show effects until the next day. Hope you're feeling better, I'm sure you'll feel much better in a couple of months when you're depositing your check from her insurance company into your account ;P

You know what, sh!t happens and at this point i aint trying to be greedy.

All i want is, my teeth fixed, my dad to get his money for his car, and yea maybe a couple of bucks but nothing crazy :biggrin: Just enough for half of the payment to my soon MAYBE to be future E30 M3.

Liability Only means shes SOL on any damage to her car. She is only insured against damage she causes to others up to her coverage limit. She caused you damage, so youre fine.

Looking up the law out in CA:
"Minimum liability insurance requirements for private passenger vehicles (California Insurance Code §11580.1b)
$15,000 for injury/death to one person.
$30,000 for injury/death to more than one person.
$5,000 for damage to property. "

So you have to be covered by her insurance for at LEAST 5k on the car and 15k on your medical.

You could get more if you go to court. If your damages cost more than her insurance coverage, she is still responsible and obligated to compensate. Her level of coverage shouldn't have any effect on you. I'd ask her if her mouth was injured in the accident, if not, put her to work:blowme:

Soooo good news and bad news...

Bad News - The girl that hit me wasn't insured nor owned the car.

Good News - The car itself was insured and owned under the father. Also, they have admited it was their fault. So atleast they aren't fighting that. I think what the lawyer might do is find out if the father owns a house and go after that.

My question is...Im almost positive that the insurance is going to say, we aren't paying because the girl wasn't insured. But if the father calls his insurance and says "The car was still insured, can you guys pay half, and ill pay the other half" could that work?

What's going to happen here? Do you guys know?
