Excellent! This already my favorite BMW of ALL TIME. Just perfect, except for the black hood. Paint that white too.

I really like the concept of the tii. It is exactly what BMW needs, A light weight sports coupe.

i really didnt see the Audi in the back @ first.. but either way... looks DAMN hott. i really love the off-set contrasting twin racing stripe. white is kool but im more of an almost all black kinda guy. i wouldnt mind seeing all all black version with the ///M colors as the racing stripe.

I would love to ROCK that tii! Finally a customized bimmer straight from the factory. Wonder if USA will get a piece of the action. I bet it would be $$$.
Here's another link (http://www.autospies.com/news/2007-Tokyo-Auto-Show-Surprise-BMW-shows-some-hot-looking-Tii-and-A-22133/). Few more pics and a bit more info.

there was an article about the 135i that's coming over in the next year or so in either Roundel or Bimmer not too long ago. I was looking for it the other day to show my buddy but I think I lost the issue. So it's coming over here for sure from what they're saying. It's going to be the only 1 series platform in the US i think. I've only seen one 1er in the US and it was a 4 door hatch at Bimmer Fest this past summer. Those things are hot too

I wish BMW would re-introduce a 4 banger one-series into the U.S. These 135's and tii's are all high-performance sixes. Nothing wrong with that, but for those of us that like excellent handling cars with excellent fuel economy, a 4-cylinder light weight one-series is my choice.

yeah, i guess they backed out of the 4 cyl market in the us b/c they weren't selling well but if they offered a stripped down 4 cyl that wasn't too expensive and got good gas mileage i think it might sell better than they think. i still don't see it happening any time soon though

Well, they are bringing the 135i to the us. and it will be cheaper than any 3 series. so that's good news. I think the one series looks pretty promising.

2-3 years back when gasoline was considered cheap along with easy credit, even to lowest paid working stiff was driving around in a big gas guzzling SUV. By next summer gas will be US$4.50/gallon. Maybe the BMW product planners will reconsider getting one of their 4 cylinder engines 'federalized' for the U.S. market.

Well over here in Blighty we are paying the equivalent of $7.49 per US/Gallon
or $9 UK/Gallon for fuel. And thats for normal unleaded. Super unleaded can be up to $8.50 US/Gallon..
Typical price for normal unleaded here is 96.9p/litre ($1.98/liter)
Over 80% of the pump price is paid to the government in tax! You have it lucky.
Roughly costs me around $85 to brim my car at todays exchange rate (Exchange rate: 2.046400 Rate valid as of: 27/10/2007)
What about a turbodiesel, that's the only way to fly these days. This POS Citroen I rented would get 60 MPG & can still do 160kph.

Yeah, Europe has always been 100%-200% more for 'petrol' then here in the states. Plus you have very high automobile registration fees based on the displacement of engines. Because of all this very high expense you have a lot more options to purchase much more fuel efficient autos as well as publics transportation choices that don't exist here, especially in southern California.
Since gasoline is 'so cheap' here, it is wasted by a whole lot of people driving hugh SUVs and pickups with one person (the driver) in them going back and forth to their office/desk jobs.

...ours melted a few thousand years ago
Just for comparison I pay about £180 (372 USD)/year for tax and £200+ (413 USD)/year for insurance fully comp.
Diesel is about the same price as super unleaded.
