okay kids...i went to this dealership at lunch today to look over this car.
let me paint a picture for ya...
1) the body shows an accident on the drivers side door and front fender...and i say that because the body lines are way off and in bad shape.
2) the whole car was repainted...half-assed too.
3) the door handles on the outside are broken and have the green paint on them.
4) the wheel-well plastics are coming off and hanging there.
5) the door trim wasn't fixed all that well with super glue after the accident and fresh paint job....so it is coming off as well (looks like S#!+)
6) there are a few fresh door dings
7) the interior is only 85% complete...the door handle trim rings are missing as is the passenger mirror control BLANK.
8) the cup holder/center console was removed and painted HIGH GLOSS black (runs in the new paint included) and then re-installed.
9) the tail lights had the wrong bulbs in them...causing the brake lights to come on when the head lights were on.
10) the fog lights were missing
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST....THE ENGINE HAD NO OIL!
i kid you not...i pulled the dip-stick and it was bone frickin dry!!!:eek:
so, if you are local and want to check out this car...let me know. i'll go with you and show you just what i saw.

ouch. poor car.

that same thing happened to me but it was a private party and the lady said it was in awesome condition and it was probabaly a little worse than what you described

yeah, and i left thinking that 3K would be too much.
but, what do i know?

ya the lady was asking 3500 for the one i liked and she said she would do 3 but i left thinking not worth 1000

i actually wanted to take pictures of it...just for show and tell.
but, i didn't want the dude selling it to think that i was some ball-bustin' tool with a bone to pick.
so i painted the best picture i could with my eyes and computer.

UPDATE
so, this is a car i had given the once over a few months back. Werner had shown an interest in it...it was close to my work...so i did the viewing.
seems they were unable to sell it at $8,900...so what do they do? you guessed it! they raised the price a few hundred bucks in order to get people motivated.

i'm probably the only person that knows a thing or two about cars that gave it a total once over...the thing is a turd!
so, raising the price was probably a good idea.
i want to go for a drive today and see if that black ti with the m3 motor is still at that other lot.
i'll update that one as well
