so basically this is my 5th intake set up and by far my favorite
its a combination of a m42 classic: fogging and a short ram intake

i went down to kragen and i saw this flexible tube that fits on the end of my intake filter...i got to thinking. why not combine the roar of my short ram with the power benefit of a fogged airbox? eureka!!!! i said i got it ill combine these 2 crazy elements.

check out the pics i also included a nice vid of how it sounds. before i only felt the power gain from the intake around torque line but now just like when i had my intake fogged the power stroke is smooth and even...great $50 mod!!

also you may think theres not too much suction at the end of the tube....i rev it while holding a piece of paper even at 3k the paper is getting sucked in

Looks cool, but I dont understand how that filter works, the filter element is on the outside, and the air is coming from the tube into the inside of the filter, seems like the filter isnt actually filtering anything, or that the tube doesnt do much...

Am I wrong, is there filter media on the inside of the thing too?

well the filter is just like any cone filter but its not closed at the end like most cone filters http://www.thompson-automotive.com/catalog/item/2604295/2057288.htm

thats how mine looks and the top goes in the opening and so you get air sucked now from through the tube and front the sides of the filter

The air is going to follow the path of least resistance, so I doubt that hose is doing anything.

looks plausible and seems like a good idea.

is the blue thing thats connected to the hose part of the intake or a piece you made?
