I had my head gasket go out a few weeks back and now that the snows flying the ol' ti is parked for the winter and the engine is laying on my garage floor in many parts. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas of thing I should replace as I put it back together. Since its ripped apart I want to do the preventive maintenance. I going to be ordering the gasket set from pelicanparts.com which should give me all of the gaskets. Any ideas would be much appreciated..

Since you have the time, have your fuel injectors serviced. It takes about a week to get them back.

I would replace the chain guides, chain tensioner, thermostat, and water pump. These are all relatively inexpensive and easy to do when you have it apart.
