View Full Version : Dyno'd My Car

I got my car Dyno'd today. There were like 20 something supra's at the place. I almost went.... The best dyno today was 786rwhp. The lowest dyno was 41rwhp. The following cars got dyno'd when i showed up (got there late)...Supra (quite a few), 300zx, Maxima, RX-7, Lexus, 318ti.

Those guys had a hard time strapping down my car, i dont know why. I almost felt like they were going to tell me they cant dyno it. I have to say that my car was the loudest from the engine bay. All other cars were turbos. From the turbo cars, all you could here was the BOV when they let off. But as far as when the engine is revving up lil by lil, my car was the loudest  I did hear this annoying sound, but im guessing its the sound from the dyno roller.

It was pretty fun.

Most of those views are probably from me. Checking to see who's viewing the thread.

Dyno costs money so i want to try to get some of that back. There's a fee of $1 to know the numbers.

Paypal at goofy_137@hotmail.com please

hmm... maybe i should shake things up a lil... i know the numbers he produced  Do i hear any bribes??? lol, jk.

but yeah Hugo, you should share. its not like you produced something of 200+hp and im sure its logical to what you've put into the motor. plus i bet its not as high as you wanted it to in the first place, cuz i remember you saying you're not doing the full 10lbs of boost.
SO SHARE DAMNIT!!!

maybe it's the THC in my system chilling me out, or maybe I just don't know Hugo well enough, but I am honestly surprised people are reacting so badly to this

it is his choice to post the results or not.

but it seems like if you are going to bring up something people will be so uinterested in you would at least share the results with fellow members and friends.

LMAO, wow some of you guys really get butt hurt. Grow some sense of humor wont ya? Put me on the ignore list i dont give a F. What good or bad does it do for me being on that beautiful list. Let me help you out.... http://www.318ti.org/forum/profile.php?do=editlist

Anyway, reason i havent posted numbers is because i didnt get a print out. I am suppose to get the sheet emailed. Cuz knowing you guys, "i dont believe you, post pic of the sheet." Since i have learned in the past that my verbal talk isn't believeable, ill wait for the sheet to "talk" for itself. Great job guys!

OR, we can gather up $10 bucks (between all of you guys) and ill post it up!

If im happy with the setup now, I'm going to be extremely happy when i get my swap done.

are you really expecting to get money for a simple number?

unless someone was really wanting to do the exact or similar mods you have i really dont think you'll get money for the results

Philly
03-04-2008, 12:50 AM
so you make a thread called "Dyno'd My Car" ... just to share what? buttfxck nothin...

Ive been gone for like ... 5 months, I come back, and I see nothing has changed...

whats the deal hugo? why are you being so anal about posting something as silly as a number? One that may benefit many people who are interested in your setup or similar, whats the matter?

I got a better deal! If you want to know, paypal me 25 cents, YES THATS RIGHT, ONLY 25 CENTS!!!!

and I'll make up a load of bullsh!t, but you'll get an answer

Obviously the number weren't what he expected, otherwise he'd be bragging them up.

It's ridiculous to try to get people on 318ti.org to pay for you to dyno your car. If you aren't going to post your results we can just delete this thread, it doesn't serve a purpose.

Bobbak
03-04-2008, 04:40 AM
hes just joking, of course no one is going to pay

think of it like this if you keep this thread going and keep guessing eventually when you do find out the dyno results ill be more satisfying :)

Not exactly. What i thought would show up did show up. Without knowing numbers, i like how quick this lil motor is and happy. Of coarse, i just want to be faster.

Ok ok I had my fun.

Now the numbers....

181rwhp & 151tq. And this isn't pushing at 10psi either. I think if i were, i would have been somewhere between 195-200rwhp.

the governor
03-04-2008, 07:46 AM
are you still only at 6-7psi?

HuGo
03-04-2008, 07:50 AM
are you still only at 6-7psi?

Yes :frown: And that's where i dyno'd at. I wish i could have at 10. I should be getting a smaller belt sometime this week. If that doesn't work, i might buy the 3.4 pulley. Maybe not since i want to do the swap.

Where did you dyno. I've been looking for a dyno day for the past month, but havent found any club or group to put one together.
Which shop did you go to?
How much $$$ for how many pulls?
A/R? Wide band?

There was a dyno day. I went to stanton at Dyno Xtreme. I paid $45 with no afr and it was 55 with afr. It was 2 pulls.

That's a good price. I paid $200 for 5 pulls with AFR on a Dyno Dynamics. Also, I can't see the dyno, did you pull it off?

Not really. It wasn't even 6k, and i only paid the $3k from my own pocket. Tuning was free. And with $3k, ill have made 100hp more and 103 more torque. With the same $3k i spent. Dont ask me how.

Heck, 183HP is still pretty darn respectable for the 318ti considering that most 328's on the roads aren't even putting that down at the wheels. Good job Hugo, you had your fun with the boost and now it's time for some real power!

I can vouch for beating a few 328s

It really is kinda sad how much $ needs to be spent to get to this level. For $3k, kit's possible to push an m3 to 350hp.

HuGo
03-05-2008, 06:04 PM
I cant wait until i get my swap done. 55-65 more torque is going to be a huge! difference.

thesk8nmidget
03-05-2008, 06:19 PM
yeah it will.... and then the things you can do to the new motor will be just a huge increase everytime!
