sounds like mine, someone took an old scroll up/down antenna, cut it and plugged the metal hole, then painted it black, looks horrible up close, but from a few feet it doesnt look bad

i bought the M-tech molding last week. i needed to get away from that blocky stock look...i hated it!
i am about 3-4" off of the ground...the fit was good....except for the mesh in the grill...it didn't/doesn't fit right at all. POOR DESIGN!

the bumper has little plastic nipples on the edge of the grill area.
the mesh has holes/slots for these nipples to hold it on.
the mesh was about .5-1mm too short and i couldn't get it to stay in place...there was too much tension and one side or the other would pop out.
i took self-tapping screws and ran them in at an angle...very careful not to have them pop out of the outside of the bumper...and torqued them down snug enough to keep the mesh in place.
i'll get a close up picture of what i'm trying to describe.
coffee and a few smokes and i'll go do it. :biggrin:

so, if you look at the pictures of my ass end...you'll see where i sanded the scuffs off and squirted some paint.
then take notice of the tweaked tip...it's pushed in about 1/2"...and bent to the inside.
the reason for these pictures today...that is new 15% tint on my windows.
got it done today for $120.00...and that price covered the removal of my old tint.
and, it looks amazing!

Sean if you want you can use my stickers i got a bunch and i paint them with acrylick paint it stays on pretty good. Hmmm what percent did you have before? i have 15% too but i think yours looks darker. Im thinking of just leaving 15% in front and go with 5% in the back.

The ti is looking better each time. I like the new tint on the bimmer. :cool: Personally I like tint on my cars but there is a bunch of people that hates tint.


ATF if you need tint let me know. I know a few places that does a good tint job. Comes with lifetime guarantee, one piece back window and computerized cutting.
