looking ahead ... who would be interested in the Pike's Peak Hill Climb on 20 July?

ohhh ****! that would be a blast!

you need to show up EARLY and once you're on the hill, you can't leave until the event is all done. you will likely get covered in dust and could well get showered with rocks (depending on where you stand), but it was a really cool time. seeing a semi-truck cranking around the course is not to be missed! the record was broken last year (barely) and he's coming back this year to try again!

i cant,
i go to oregon for country fair every year and its the second weekend in july so that would be hard to get more time off with my new job.

next year would prolly be doable

yeah i know about that i have raced it in a few games! would be fun to rally the ti through it or my sentra with a race seat and harness and cage! :)

i used to rally it through gravel roads all day long!

I just remebered that i might be in mexico from July 12-27 so I still don't know.

they just posted a $30k purse for anyone breaking the 10 minute barrier (must be the full course, if multiple people break it, fastest gets it, if there's a tie, they split it). GO TAJIMA!

in fact...count me in.
but, i've been to the little tiny forest ranger shack at the bottom of the mountain durring the hill climb....if i remember correctly there is a fee PER CAR that enters the park.
is that still the case Eric?
if so....can we park the ti's down in the Santa's Village area and take one ti through the gate?

per person price ($40), not per car (had to look it up because i didn't remember from last year). you also have to be there EARLY as they allow no cars up the mountain after 8am, gates open at 4am.
