I figure I want to replace the front solid rotors for slotted performance rotors. Any suggestions? Does anyone suggest a certain brand? How easy is it to swap the ti front brakes with the brakes from an M3?

There are various levels of brake upgrades you can do. Unless you are tracking you car, there really is no reason to change the front brakes.

The simpliest is the 325/328 upgrade.
You need to replace the calipers and rotors.
Advantages are, readily available rotors, relatively cheap and you can find used calipers. Plus you can still use 15" steel wheels if you use snow tires.

You can go to E36 M3 brakes but need to change the spindle. Not all wheels will fit. $$

E46 upgrade. More money, not as many junked E46s to get parts from. $$$

Brembo, $$$$. Limited on wheel sizes.

The only thing an upgrade will do is reduce brake fade by letting the brakes dissipate heat faster. They are not going to stop you any faster.

Slotted? Waste of money. Looks cool. Wears brake pads faster.
