Okay, you guys out there need to plan something for us to do on Saturday, or at least give me some ideas. I want to do a drive at some point, but don't know when is a good time or day or where. We could probably do the drive Sunday afternoon after the tour at Stranahan's. I just need to make sure I'm on the road headed home by 3-4pm at the latest. Just remembered there's a time zone change, and I'd like to be home by 2am at the latest so I can go to work Monday morning.
Also, remember that we want to do a small whiskey tasting at someone's place Saturday night. Depending on how many people want to do that, figure 1-2 hours. I'll bring some glasses with me so nobody needs to worry about having enough of those (got about a dozen or so small brandy snifters).
Someone said to start a new thread, so here she is. :)

Well most of us work saturdays so we can do something after 4 or 5. While we are whiskey tasting we can play some cards or something. I have a poker set with cards and chips if you want me to bring it let me know. There's also small euro meets every saturday we can go to that too. We are going tomrrow to see how it is. We could do a drive or something on sunday morning like 10 or something. So whos place are we meeting at?

boulder canyon or left hand ... or both (up one down the other)? could do the drive on saturday afternoon and then go to my house if that's what people want to do.
justin, do you have a place to stay yet?

well, the only ones signed up for the stranahan's tour are justin, dave, sean, me and chris (who looks like he won't be able to make it). so ... if dave and sean are working saturday, i think it would make more sense to do the drive when you guys are available so ... sunday afternoon?
maybe do something in the denver area saturday after you guys are off work? i could bring pie.

It all sounds fun. Doesn't matter if we do a drive Saturday or Sunday, but just remember I need to be on the road hopefully no later than 4pm or so Sunday afternoon. And I'm definately game for some Texas Hold'em. Haven't played face-to-face with people for a while.
No place to stay yet, but I know you offered your spare room. If I can get out of work by 5pm I should be able to make it out there by midnight or so (time zone change included). That won't be too late will it? You can either shoot me a PM/e-mail or I will later. Need to go get some sleep now as I've been up for about 26 hours now (yesterday was my work both jobs day).

the room is available and you're welcome to it. as long as i know you're coming, whenever is fine :) i'll shoot you a PM with my address so you can get an idea where it is.
i remembered that we have a quarterly outage for work so i may need to vpn in and do some work saturday evening. i should have a much better idea as we get closer to the date.

the drive on 7 (st vrain) is very nice too. st vrain, left hand and boulder canyon all sort of parallel each other and are connected by 72 (peak to peak highway). the only part i haven't done is boulder canyon.

So, poker, pie, and whiskey/scotch Saturday night? Sounds good. I'll still need to find something to do Saturday afternoon. Got a week to figure that out.
Probably best to do the drive Sunday, and after the Stranahans tour would work. Leaving Stranahans, out to Boulder, Boulder Canyon to 72 to St. Vrain to Eric's in Mead would be about three hours. Depending on how long the tour at Stranahan's takes, that would be about perfect timing then I could leave for home shortly afterwards.

Dave mentioned that Clay was going to make this. Is that for Saturday, Sunday, or both? Going to e-mail Jake back sometime tonight or tomorrow morning with final headcount (I believe Chris said he won't be able to do the tour now). Also going to find out if they have anything for sale, in case anyone wants to buy a bottle afterwards. ;)
Washing the car this afternoon. Also need to sit down and figure out exactly which bottles I'm bringing. We will be having some Stranahan's. :)
Eric, do I need to find something to do Saturday afternoon or are you off work? And do we want to do the weekly Euro meet on Saturday night (how long does it normally last)? We need to keep 1 hour or so free to taste whiskey that night and leave time for people to get home. Also need to figure out where and when to meetup Sunday. I'll let you guys figure that out tomorrow night while I'm on the road.

i would check on endlinks and you might need some bolts since we used the big ones on the rear bar. i would suggest hardened ones (the ones on the back were 8.8) if you get them at a hardware store or wherever. you could even (gasp) get metric ones ;)

i'll pick up all of the necessary shwag in a few hours.

Well finally i got done painting the kitchen and cabinets, as well as grouting the bathroom tile floor, painting the bathroom, installing a new vanity and mirror. It took all day but i got it done. My mom has recently decided that she doesn't like the way our house looks so she changing everything .
Okay i got my parts in today. Didn't have time to paint the mirrors so i'll just take the paint with me and some clear coat, see if i can get it done at erics. Well see you guys tomorrow.

so, our meet was a good time.
justin's car turned out to be very nice indeed. the shop that repaired it did a great job.
there were some parts replaced...my plastics under the windshield wipers.
some upgraded...Dave's Depo headlights and clear corners.
and one fixed window regulator...hope it lasts this time Justin.
but, i don't think any pictures were taken. lol
good times MHTi crew...

I definately had a great time. Wish I could have stayed longer, but there's always next time, and there will be a next time. Thanks for fixing the regulator Sean. Didn't realize how much I missed having a working window until the drive out there and I couldn't go to a drive-up ATM or through a drive-through.
It was nice meeting Dave and Clay (and Terry) as well. Definately some nice cars out there. Shoulda asked what kind of salary the job offer from the liquor vendor at Daveco would have been. Only took a handful of pictures Sunday after Stranahans, and they were as were were headed out to Boulder. Uploading pics to my computer now. Will take a little bit of time to crop and resize, but they will be up before I head to work this morning.
