I notice the front end getting light going down the straights.
You think this might help with the aerodynamics under the car?
Would it interfere with my aftermarket brake ducts?

Oh what am I saying? I'm broke. :(
Just curious.

Here's a blurb from the manufacturer.

The toughest underpanel designed for BMW E-36 on the market! Crafted from 6061-T6 anodized aluminum, this panel will definitely be the last one you will ever need to buy. The plastic factory panels attach to the chassis, which makes them much more rigid and susceptible to breaking. The underpanel is designed to fit directly into the original factory holes located on the bottom of the E-36 front spoiler. Because it attaches to the front spoiler, direct contact with a curb or a cone will result in equal movement between the spoiler and panel.

The JT-Designs AluminumUnderpanel is the ultimate in shielding road debris and the elements of bad weather from corroding vital engine parts.

Additionally, performance enthusiasts will appreciate the flat panel's ability to accelerate airflow underneath the spoiler. This accelerated airflow creates a low-pressure area under the spoiler, most commonly known as "downforce." Self-installation will take about an hour. Get one today: it's one less component to worry about will last a lifetime.

You have a picture of where it mounts? I did notice the plastic pieces under my bumper being mangled. Actually, the driver's side plastic wheel well is messed up. The piece that the brake duct protrudes through.

I just found that during a search. Does it get in the way of anything for general maintenance?

Doesnt look like it would. The oil drain plug is still reachable and any other maintenance would be done from above. Even steering mantenance looks pretty good. Ive thought about getting one of these underpanels and coupling it with a rear diffuser custom fitted to our cars. Example:

Read on bfc it doesn't take too long to drop the underpanel if you need access to the engine. Good price on the piece. Only fit on M bumper bimmers just in case any non-m members want to buy it.

Are you in Perth Amboy, as in next to the Outer Bridge Crossing? I have to pick up my son Saturday morning in Staten Island. We meet at the NYSC gym on the West Shore Expressway (Victory Blvd exit). Meet me at the gym, and I will bring $100.00 cash. If interested, PM me and I will give you my cell #.

Installed the under panel this weekend. Not blown away with the way it mounts or the install guide. Overall, a decent product, pics to come later.
