camshaft positioning sensor??

so my CEL came on today and it indicates that my (cps) needs replaced i just want to no if that explains a rough idle happening to my car and if so will all years of all ti's work as far as parts .. the reason i ask is because i found one for a 95ti for $50 but one for a 96 for $80 i was wondering if itd work "the 95 part" btw i have a 96

No, you need a 96+ because you have the M44 engine. Search for a thread by 318Italia and you'll find the woes of mixing the two.
