97' BMW 318ti w/ Full M3 Conversion for Parts (or re-build with a Salvage title).

What started out as a babied 1997 Arctic Silver BMW 318ti ended up as a show and demo vehicle for only a short period of time, due to an unfortunate accident.

I purchased a complete 1995 M3 to complete the conversion, and every part that was used was a BMW factory part in order to complete the project. My goal is to sell this car to an enthusiast that knows the value of the of the parts and the value of my time and efforts, with the hope that they intend to remove all of the parts from the car to install into another 318ti, E30 chassis, or E36 chassis. Repairing the car is a possibility, but the car currently has a clean title, but the Mass RMV tells me it will be issued a salvage title when ownership changes hands.

At the completion of the project, I would estimate $20k+ was invested. I purchased another 1998 318ti to start the project over again, but family obligations have taken priority. I am willing to negotiate on a package deal including my daily driven 1998 318ti, which is completely unmolested if there is interest. Anyways, here is what I am selling:

Arctic Silver 1997 318ti with black interior

obvious damage to driver's side rear quarter due to a rear end collision. Frame has been mildly bent, and moderate body damage was sustained. Car was considered a "total loss" by the insurance company since it was never insured for the completed project's true replacement value. Passenger side fender will need replacing as well.

- approx 114k miles on car

- Under 25k miles on performance re-built 1995 M3 S50 3.0l engine, Built by Bavarian Engine exchange, features upgraded cams and intake was ported/polished for close to 295 crank hp/285ft/lbs of torque without a performance ECU CHIP!(dyno'd at 240 rear wheel hp & 230ft/lb torque, have dyno sheet to prove it) Engine was over $8500 before shipping. Approximatly 20% more power than a stock M3 engine.

- Under 300 miles on $2000 custom built "Diffs-online/BavarianPerformanceGroup" 3.23LSD, E30 M3 axels and Mcoupe half-shafts

This was a COMPLETE M3 conversion (not just an engine swap)

- 1995 M3 ZF 5-speed transmission and clutch (approx 80k miles) (will include a brand new Sachs M3 clutch at asking price, paid $400)

- 1995 M3 Steering rack

- 1995 M3 complete front suspension

- 1995 M3 front brakes

- sought after 6-bolt M3 drive-shaft and flange (due to strength)

- the modified $850 B&B TRIFLO Performance Stainless Steel exhaust on car was damaged in the accident, So I have the same exhaust system, brand new, still in the box, that I will include at the asking price, however it will have to be shortened to fit

- M3 "Vader" seats

- "M" package rear spoiler installed

- M3 instrumentation and center console

- 18" Privat Farhen wheels with 225-40-18 Nitto NT555 extreme tires (will be included at asking price, have stock steel 15" otherwise)

- 6000k HID headlight conversion /p>

Car has no stereo equipment, but was used as the New England Demo car for a car audio manufacturer for 2 years. Stereo was removed after the accident, custom fiberglass door speaker pods and subwoofer enclosure can be removed and car can be returned to stock. I can also include after-market Audio equipment from a very high end Car Audio manufacturer if need be, since I happen to work for the company.

Interior is dirty now, but was immaculate before the accident. A vacuuming and an application of Lexol (it's all I ever used on the leather) will restore it to its glory again.

If needed I will also include the following parts I've collected.

- OEM M3 side skirts (one needs minor repair and both need re-painting

- OEM M3 front bumper and front lip spoiler (Bumper needs a crack repaired, and a re-paint before installation)

- Extra "M POWER" Valve cover that I intended to get powder coated, and never completed)

- Stock chrome grill (blacked-out grill was installed)

- used OEM replacement 318ti tail lights and dash bezel

- 2 boxes of removed parts from both the M3 and the 318ti during the project (probably $1000 worth if listed and sold on-eBay)

Although selling for $7500 is my preferred choice, I'd be interested in trading for a 1999 or newer Harley Davidson or BMW Motorcycle of similar value or a late model vehicle of similar value (with my wife's approval, since it will be her car).

Car can bee seen in Lowell, near Chelmsford. Runs and drives, but cannot be driven on the street due to current status of title and the vehicle is unregistered. Local sales only! I will not ship!

:( someone rescue this thing.
