Upgrade Deck - Loose Amp?

Hey Guys,

I just recently purchased a '98ti and am interested in replacing the business class cassette that is in there with a CD deck. An installation guy at Tweeter told me i'd most likely loose my amp if I didn't buy the right adapters and to control the amp - he said they run about $50. Is this true? Sounds funky to me, but you never know with sound packages these days...

sounds real fishy! if you just change the radio and you buy the harness for that you should be fine as the outs and controls are on the radio. you may also have to get an antenna adapter (maybe) another $15 so we're talking about $20-30 tops depends on where you go for both things.
