Are these controls lighted on the ti? I have a '95 and I can't remember/or don't know if these are supposed to be lit up?

The controls are lighted. Does anyone know how to replace the bulb(s)?

Changing bulbs is quite easy but it will take about an hour of your time.

1. remove the stereo. Disconnect the wiring harness (make sure you have the code before doing so).
2. Pull all the HVAC knobs off. Pull and they will come off.
3. You will see two screws where the knobs used to be. unscrew these two.
4. After removing the radio, there are two screws that hold the cover to the center counsole. They are hidden, and it is best to have a flashlight and feel where the screws are. Looking inside the hole where the radio was, look up and to each corner. Feel to make sure find where they are located. Remove these screws. Finally pull the cover off.

5. Once you have the cover off, you will see one mini bulb on the HVAC control unit. Simply pull out the bulb and replace with a new one.

6. Assemble everything back together.

I know it sounds like a lot of work, but it shouldn't take too long. If you have any specific questions e-mail me at D93@aol.com

Thanks

I've been meaning to ask this question myself.

Before I attempt this procedure on my '98, is it just the '95 that lights up?

Thanks! I figured that the radio had to come out, I havenít got around to it yet. After seven years you know where everything is anyhow.
That's a record for a reply: thirteen months.
