There is a DE put on by darksidede.com on November 8th/9th at Roebling Rd in Georgia..
If you are already a solo qualified driver you can do it as a three day event on the 7th/8th/9th, with the 7th just an open lapping day.
The cost for non-members for 2 days is 250$. 375$ for the 3 day event, which is a great deal. I also believe that this will get you a membership to any future darksidede events.
DarksideDE is the same people that run the Florida Crown region PCA events. The event will be run very similar to a PCA event with some rules slightly different.
I'm going to be heading up from Florida with some guys from the local Audi owners club, as well as some other BMW owners may make the trip up to Georgia. I'll be doing all three days.

Correct on most parts, but no Florida Crown region involved at all, but it was based on FCRs old, very popular format and has stuck to that. The Darkside DE is meant for car guys & gals, doesn't matter what kind of car, just as long as we all have fun:biggrin:

One of these days I'll get to Roebling.
I hope by qualifying as a solo driver means that you are known by the organizers.
I've been to one lapping weekend at VIR where people clearly should not have been there.
VIR for me next month. :)

Thank you for the plug. It is appreciated. If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I see Byron has set you straight about FCR so I won't. However, Dark Side did put on DEs for Coastal Empire Region, PCA from May 2002 until November 2007 and we did do one for Ocmulgee Region, PCA many moons ago...
And good news - if you've ever wanted insurance for your car at a DE event -- we now have been approved as an event that qualifies at Lockton Affinity. More info later.

Thanks Byron! We just got our first application in today! And we just got word in that a Viper is coming. The Peachtree BMW guys look like they are coming as well - should be a fun time. We have the entertainment, BBQ, hotel and food lined up already... now for that keg.

I hope you come to join us. Our lapping day is divided into 2 groups. One that passes in the standard passing zones, the other is pass anywhere with a point. Our minimum requirement is that you be solo for one full weekend - no instruction. If you've never come to Roebling before, but are solo at your own home track and want to do our lapping day, we check your references and then put someone in the car with you to show you the line -- so everyone can have a good time.
Sorry for the plugs. I hope I anwered the questions. If you have more - plug away...I always seem to be around when needed.
Nice meeting y'all.

Yeah, I knew it was one PCA region or another.. Sorry about that.. Was more so throwing that out there to show that this wasn't some fly by night DE program... A lot of people think highly of the PCA DE events.

I think the name Dark Side is getting out there these days because of folks like you. I cannot express how much I appreciate that. I can only say thank you so much.

It would be cool to have another Ti at this event... My wife is coming up to this event along with the wives/girlfriends of a few of my friends. They are planning on going out to Savannah over the weekend, going shopping during the day, crap like that.. I haven't gotten any complaints about the 10 days at the track so far this year, and the 6 more planned, so I have to keep her happy.. :)
I'm going to start doing instructor training days with PBOC and PCA when they have them for the rest of the year so I really want to get experience running at different tracks before I even think about instructing. I'll probably do another weekend or two at Sebring, this event at Roebling, and maybe try to get down to Homestead for a weekend. I know Sebring really well, but there is only so much that you can learn from one track.
I would also love to make the trip up to Barber, but there is no way that I'm driving my car that far. I'd have to figure out a way to tow it. I had the opportunity to drive at Daytona in November, but my brother-in-law is getting married the same weekend as that event.

and as the organizer, I can promise you, we would try to make you most welcomed...
BTW - I drive a 330i -- so it's not a ti -- but... it is a BMW!
and...in the first week of registration - 4 BMWs are in - and one of them is a 318Ti (out of Orlando, FL)

I gather you haven't been to Roebling yet... video is good - but better would be when you show up, remind me - and we will put someone in your car to show you the line. It makes life easier.
A friend of mine tried to do Pocono without any help -- and after a 1/4 around -- limped back and begged someone to jump in and show him -- he is the one that encouraged me to have people show the line - it goes back to that old... safety of all not the fun of one saying...
See you soon... :-) and yep, looking forward to it. As of today, 53 registered....and still growing.

P.S. I thought I'd add this announcement:
Good News.

Our group, The Dark Side has been approved as an HPDE by Lockton-Affinity, and you can now, if you are a participant, insure your car for our 3-day event, all at one handy dandy price. If you are interested - we've posted some details at:
