Hi Im new here about to buy a 318it..... but im curious..... check this link out....

did the 318 it come as an "M" if so what years and how much power does it produce.
I saw a 318it at the dealer ship and at the back in the center it has the "M" emblem..... and its a 96 ummmmmm.....

nope, that is a transplanted engine. The only ti that came badged with ///M was the ti clubsport in '95 and some later sport models. these still had the same M42 or M44 engines, but added some aero packages, mirrors, suspension, etc. and in the case of the Club Sport, a LSD (very handy for spirited driving).
- That transplant is incredible - the ti is much lighter than the M3, making an M-powered ti a definate sleeper. very $$$ though.

Actually all Sport models from 1996-1999 have ///M badging along with the M-technic trim.
Several people have done engine conversions.
You can also replace the Roundel with a ///M badge. I don't know the p/n.
