Hi all. I've actually posted on here a couple times but never really made a formal intro so here it is. I bought a 1998 318ti(duh) in Jet Black in lateJune/earlyJuly of 2008. it has the M tech package or ///M package or sport package or w/e its called. 105xxx miles, 5 speed, got it for a little over $4grand. the threads i've posted on this site so far have been about aftermarket mods mostly but one post was about this odd noise which i feared was the differential but after having been driving it for this long i am 100% certain it has to do wit the ABS. (noise went away when i removed the ABS fuse and has it looked at by a European car specialist mechanic guy lol). the noise is a loud buzzing, basically like how it sounds when abs goes off except it happens every time i come to a near complete stop from any speed. and only stays for 5-15 secs at near 0mph :confused:. i believe its the ABS going off unnecessarily. the mechanic looked at it for a good 8 hours only to tell me i need a new ABS pump which would cost $2000 new.
