Guys,

I have been reading about subframe failures on the E36's. They BB's are saying that a lot of people are breaking the spring mounts when they install lowering spring, or drive the car hard, like at track events. Does anyone know if this is also happening on the TI's??? Any way to prevent other than the expensive repairs that I am reading about?? Thanks in advance.

News to me.
Are you sure they are not talking about shock mounts? They tear. Subframe bushings wear.

I do maybe 12 driving schools a year.
I did a probably 10 schools with my 318ti and probably 2 dozen days with the 328ti.

The front suspension is showing signs of wear.
The wheel bearings may be going.
But, there are over 110K miles on the car.
Hardly anything that I would call premature.
