Not sure if this would work, I know that the rear on a ti is different from others. I have a 92 325I donor car, and was wondering if the rear subframe would fit on the TI? If so would it take mods or would it bolt up??? Any help would be appreciated

Should not bolt up, not sure if this is at all possible.

What's the goal??

subframe. . . I'm pretty sure the subframe will bolt up. However, ti trailing arms will not fit. You'd need the 325i ones as well. and 325i wheels because you won't be able to swap the drive flanges due to different sized wheel bearings. . .

The subframe on the E36 sedans/coupes is mounted to the chassis in a completely different manner than the tis and the Z3s. It's not going to work at all.

yea i thought the whole reason for a different rear end on the ti was because they couldn't fit the sedan/coupe rear end under there. Just guessing though

It would take massive modifications to make it work. Cutting, welding, fabrication, etc...

fabs I can do. Thanks for the input. Would it just be better to swap the differential from the 325I or would that not work either? And does anyone know if the 325i has a posi rear?

is it an E30? if it is it will fit

EDIT: just read that it is an E30, so yes, the differential will fit

Where did he say it was an E30? Did I miss that? 92 is normally an E36 unless it's an E30 Vert or Touring. Verts were made until 4/93 and Tourings into mid 94.

oh, I thought 93 was the first year for the E36, never mind

92 325i was the only year N.A. got the Non Vanos equipped 2.5L M50. Great durable engine.
