Hello everyone,

I am a first time owner of a BMW, and I really enjoy driving once again!

I haven't heard many people that own the new 2002 ti's, how similiar is it to the older models?

I would love to be part of a group to discuss topics of interest on the Ti's.

For instance is there a chip, like the Audi's to Increase Horse Power? And if anyone else owns a New 2002 ti, so they could exchange views etc?

Sincerely,

Robert

Dear Kinkajou,

Well everyone has their own tastes, I am really sorry that you guys will not be getting the new one, actually I think this is the first time they have gotten the design right on the Compact! The older models just seemed a bit Truncated on the back.

The New Engine Purrs like a kitten, with greater power, and fuel economy, and looks really aggressive under the cover and the 50/50 balance of the vehicle makes the car handle like a dream, a true BMW through and through.

I will post some pictures here so you guys can judge for yourselves.

Dear Kinkajou:

Thank you for your $.02 http://www.happytogether.com/318ti/forum/smile.gif

The I really like what they did to the front, it actually was the first thing that struck my eye, before entering the showroom. Its a bit different than the others, that's what I like about it. Here in JA there are alot of Bimmers on the road, I wanted to be a bit different.

What BMW do you own?

Hey Robert OBCC, That's exactly the response BMW wanted to get from the new ti! http://www.happytogether.com/318ti/forum/wink.gif the E36 model was undiscernable from the front, I had a guy catch me in his rear sights and start burning up the road!(I have an M3 front bumper and Mirrors, he thought I was an M http://www.happytogether.com/318ti/forum/smile.gif too) I have a 95 ti. It looks just like the miniature one in the corner of the screen Bright Hellrot RED.I am waiting to drop in a 325 motor now I'm just waiting for the spring and then........

Dear Danz,

Thanks for the Photo of Your Car, it looks like it just rolled off the factory floor! How do you manage to keep it in such great condition? It looks sweet.

My Ti has a 1.8 Liter 16v In-Line 4, Double-VANOS, Valvetronic, with ASC/T (Active Stability and Traction Control), Steptronic 5-Speed Auto, Anti-lock Brakes, Four Spoke Leather Multifunction Steering Wheel, Cruise Control

BMW Business with Cassette and Speed Sensitive Volume for the Radio, 6 CD Changer in the Rear, Rear Battery, Sport Seats w/ Fabric and Leather with Thigh Support, Alarm with Interior Motion Sensor,

Adaptive Transmission Management (Normal, Winter, or Hill Climb/Start-off), Shiftlock and Interlock, Sports Suspension with Central Arm Rear Axle with Anti Squat and Anti Dive, Single Joint Spring Strut Front Axle with Anti Dive, Anti-roll Bar Front and Rear,

Headlight Angle Control, Automatic Air Conditioning with Solar Sensor and Automatic Air Recirculation with Micro and Charcoal Filters, Light Alloy Wheels,

Car Key Memory, Rechargeable Key Remote through Ignition, Cargo Nets Back of Front Seats, Fog Lamps, Front+Side+Head(A-Pillar) Airbags, Central Locking with Electronic Immobiliser, and Crash Sensor. . I think that should be the majority.

I think My next Upgrade will be to get some larger Mags, maybe 17's w/ 225 55 Tires.

Do you know of any Chip Upgrades for the Engine?

Hey Robert, Just a tip if you go 17's you can't run 225/55/17 you are more looking at 225/45 or 40/17 and you can increase the width to 235 if you wish for a more balanced feel. 55's will look like a semi! http://www.happytogether.com/318ti/forum/wink.gif

Car looks good - especially the seats. I always trip out on RHD cars though.
