318ti Emblem

I was just wondering whether there's a reason some ti's don't have the 318ti emblem on the back ? I bought my ti used ant the previous owner didn't know why the emblem isn't there, it's just the BMW emblem. Does anyone know why ?

Someone removed it. All U.S. BMW's have nomenclature on the rear. It is an optional delete item in Europe. You can get a replacement from the dealer.

Sometimes owners will debadge their cars. This is done in some cases to prevent theft of M badges or because they jsut think it looks better. It's actually pretty easy to do as seen here:
