Welcome to the forum. You have a nice car. What kind of CAI are you running? It's good to see a Ti in Scotland.

Welcome for the reply. CAI = Cold Air Intake. I thought the red circle in your mesh grill on the front bumper was maybe a Cold Air Intake. I was just wondering if you did and what brand it was.

My car has a wind deflector (assume for the sunroof).
I could take it or leave it.

I don't know if I really like it that much, if you do install it, definitely paint it to match the car

wind deflectors as in for the front windows

I'd say get them, I personally don't care for the way they look but they're not bad

I don't mean to be mean, but if you put that thing on, I will fly over there and have it have a little talk with my alluminum bat.

:chainsaw:

But if you do put it on, keep it black. It matches the moldings.

That spoiler is not bad. Paint it red though!

I'm not a fan of any spoiler on our little hatchbacks, especially big ones. But it's your car so do what makes you happy. If you do put it on, I'd recommend you paint it body color. It looks unfinished otherwise.

Also, Maverix, I hope you're joking. You're the last person I'd expect to resort to violence against a car for it's modifications. It's his car, he'll do what he pleases, kinda like you do.

i had it test fitted at one point b4 i started prepping for paint
but yeah the boot will still open and the spoiler isnt heavy so the boot struts should hold for a little while i hope lol
i will test fit again tomorrow and get photos up

see i have seen many spoilers that will go on the compact but realy i like the square shape at the rear and im trying to kinda keep it with out putting a big round spoiler on
maybe if i take photos tomorrow it will explain it more of what im trying to get

Yea :) i know what u mean

u can get a stronger boot strut for models with the rear wiper and orig boot spoiler, so if yours dont hold out then those are the best option :)

yeah my model has the rear wiper but no spoiler struts seem strong anyway
(i have took the rear wiper away as i like it plain at the back)

doesn't look too bad, I'd shave or cover the brake light on it though, you don't need 2 third brake lights

^great advice. I'd say delete the one on the rear windshield but I don't even know if thats possible.

it is possible, you'd just have the black coating on the window with a hole in the shape of the brake light, it might not be noticeable from the outside if you have the back window limo-tinted though

it would be easyer.. and nicer to do get rid of the one on the spoiler...the spoiler might also be nicer if it was a little bit smaller. but its your car, your taste.

bob///M
01-13-2009, 07:15 PM
ok im going to take the lite out the spoiler and fill it in
its not a M3 spoiler by the way im sure its just a uni boot spoiler fiberglass so its not heavy
should it be black or red
