social d.... a bimmer driver after my own taste. i've had one of their plate frames on my last 4 cars...

my choice depends on mood and where i'm driving. a long drive on back roads to unwind; the cure, usually disintegration or pornography. on the same roads just to tear things up; some sxdx, any kind of 'melodicore' punk stuff-- strung out, no use for a name, thursday, etc... maybe pantera if it was a bad day. the crow soundtrack is a must have for the car.

Another Cure fan here. I think where I'm driving, especially on vacations out of state, has alot to do with what I listen to. I distinctly remember getting into Exile on Main St. driving through thre Smokies and Little Feat (Lowell George era) driving over Lake Pontchartrain. Most of the time I get into old school punk though. Good to see another Social D fan here, I'm obsessed with this band about as much as my car. Some people might think it weird, even though Social D has the Hot Rod/Punk/Rock-A-Billy image, it works with driving BMW's.

i think the big thing with sxdx is that anyone who listens to them can relate in some way. we've all had a little bit or bad luck or a few hard times, and it's good to hear someone who gone through it.

just a few more to add--
the solo mike ness albums and 'sing the sorrow' by afi, caroline's spine (i listened to them for a couple hours when i drove from maryland to iowa to see them play live in their home town) and there's a few others but i think i've taken up enough of this thread for now.
