Question re tires for 98 318tiActive 7Jx15H2 wheels

I just bought a 1998 318ti Active with 24,000 miles. I just found out that the Continental tires (205/60R15) on it have stress cracks on the side and I obtained a rebate of $30 per tire. I was thinking of buying new 205/60R15 tires...Michelin MXV4Plus. I commute 50 miles everyday. Can someone recommend a good-looking, good performance tire that will fit on my wheels (without needing modifications)? Do I need to buy the exact same tire dimensions?

I've got the same car and wheel, and am looking to get the Yokohama AVS db. These have been very well reviewed - great handling combined with good ride and low noise. The price is right too, at about $60 a tire. Check out the TireRack web site, they compare available tires for whatever size you're looking for.
