I think the bearing in mine is gone. It is making a lot of noise and I'm afraid it may seize up..

AC still works but it makes noise whether on or off...

Any one have one they would sell me ?

Thanks,
Steve

Not sure if its for the 4 or 6cyl, but theres a compressor in my garage. Contact bloodrunsdry and see which it is and see if he'll sell it to you.

The 318ti - M42 is the 4 cylinder.

Np at all. I just dont know which one he put out there. It might be a 6cyl one, but i dont know. There are a/c rebuild kits online, have you checked any out?

I have looked on realoem but could not find a part number for the small parts.. Either a whole clutch or the whole compressor... And they are pricey !!

You can run over to bimmerforums.com in the part out section and pick one up cheaply.
