I was wondering if you could drop another 4-cyl. bimmer engine into a 318ti, and if not where could you find an M3 engine to swap?

yes you can swap it for another 4 cyl...but why would you want to? none of them are more powerful except the s14 but that is an older motor.

Unless you could find a S42 touring car motor. http://www.happytogether.com/318ti/forum/smile.gif Good luck finding that though. However, I've heard that it has a BMW part #. Imagine a 300 hp motor without the significant weight gain of a 6 cyl.
