I was reading my EuroTuner (older issue, dont have the cover so dont know which one) and I came across a VW Corrado. This corrado wasnt just a tuned car tho, it had two engines. I was wondering, since the 318ti is only a rear-wheel drive car, if it would be possible to drop in another 4-cyl. engine in my car. If so, what adjustments would need to be made to my drivetrain???

I'm guessing that if you have to ask then it's probably out of the question. It would have to be an all out custom installation since it has never been done before on a ti. Those kind of dual engine setups lend themselves better to FWD cars. This is because they use a almost two seperate drivetrains. Front engine to the front wheels and rear engine to the rear wheels. It would be extremely difficult to combine the power of the two engines into one driveshaft to power the rear wheels and probably even more difficult to make a FWD setup.

Bimmers South should be able to hook you up with an M3 engine. They have an ad in Bimmer magazine every month.

Checkout www.benliaw.com/compact6 (http://www.benliaw.com/compact6) before you tackle the swap. It's not cheap. Take it from me, I'm doing it now to my car.
