does anyone know if the roofline will support a 8' kayak with the Thule system?

I can't comment as to the capacity of the Thule system, however, I regularly carry a 21 ft., 80 lb., double kayak using BMW's roof rack with a custom kayak carrier. The roof'll take it.

You need a roofrack like DustenT has or had on his car. Look at the 2006 calender in the photo gallery and look at his car you'll see it. I thinks it's a Thule or something like that. Best bet would be dealer which might be $$ or ebay.
