I've notice on my Ti that, at speed, it developed a windy whistling noise. It used to start at 65 but now Im noticing it around 50-55. Its pretty loud in the 80-90 range, though at 100+ the engine drowns it out. My mechanic couldnt identify where it was coming from but said that its not something to really worry about and that replacing all the molding around the sunroof and windows would be more expensive than its worth for just a noise.

Anyone else had this problem or have any ideas?

I'm not sure this is the cas for you, but the stock ti mirrors make a hell-of-a-lot-of wind noise.

The M3 mirrors are much quieter (you need the four-door mirrors for a ti)

Hope this helps.

Also make sure you have all 4 rubber lifting pads installed. One missing can cause a whistling sound.

I have the same problem. Through scientific deduction...putting my hand in the wind path, I figured it out on mine it is the M style mirrors that little hole sings at 60 plus. When it bugs me...I turn up the radio.
