It's too bad about Saab and Saturn. I always thought Saab had interesting designs and they loved turbos. Saturn, IMO, was just starting to come back. They brought the Astra over from europe and had some cool new models. It's too bad no one bought any of them.

It kills me that Buick is still around in the US, the only thing it has going for it is that Buick is a huge seller in China.

I'm most worried about the Viper, lol, I hope a company steps up and buys the Viper brand so that it can live on.

WTH? Saab and Saturn are worth someone picking up as a brand. I would've rather seen Pontiac and Buick go away.

And the HHR is actually a pretty nice car, ever driven one?

PT Cruiser on the other hand is :bored:

I got a black/black as a rental car once, drove it about 500 miles and found it to be a good hauler. That is the ONLY color combo I like on it though.

Has nothing to do with the stimulus plan.
These companies have been bleeding money for sometime now.

Get yer facts straight man. Just because Saab may be sold off does not mean they are gone. GM is considering many options. Good discussions here:

Saabs are a very nice car IMO, and are great cars in my experiences with them. I'd be sad if the company goes down, but I think someone will pick it up and keep Saab alive (I didn't read that link ;))

I did like the Saturn Sky, but that's about it. They were cheap cars, and that's now taken up by Hundai and whoever else, they had no place anymore.

And I hated the new hummers. H1 or nothing. Though the pickup H3 did look nice, I never saw the completed version, only the concept.

True. When I used the :bored: emoticon it was to say the design is tired, not bad. I applaud anything different (see the other thread on the QUBE).

Just saying nothings final. If Jaguar can be owned by Indians, Saab can find a buyer too. Saturn and Hummer had no history, little innovation beyond marketing. Saab has been making cars since 1947 and I for one hope they stick around.

Im surprised to hear that Saturn may go away. They were cheap, plastic, and seem to be everywhere around here. Cheap, plastic and efficient, yet still relatively stylish is what the current marked needs, or so i would think..
