I came across this product which promises up to 35bhp and costs $70. I wanted to know if anyone knew anything about it and if it is really worth it.

bah, that's BS...

If such a thing gave you such miraculous gains, the germans would have perfected it by now :D

I am going to have to agree with the others...If it worked so well why is only $70.00. We pay 200.00 for Cold Air Intake and get 2 horsepower if any, 800.00 on cat back exhaust and get a few more horsepower...I think this thing might just be a load! Lets wait and see if any other companies start voming out with products like this. Plus, did you guys see the crappy illustrations on how to install...?

Typical range of improvement over baseline is:
0 to 35 increase in horsepower,

0 to 31% increase in fuel economy.

The key word or number is "0"

Consumer reports rated the Tornado or whatever it was called and said it did absolutely nothing for power or fuel economy. You will still have people swear by them, don't listen to them and don't buy them. By them, I mean any of these scam products that are too good to be true.

Often times they will qualify a statement like gives you 35 hp when installed and a tuneup is performed. So they could put really bad spark plugs, fuel filter, etc in the car, measure the horsepower, then do a "tune up" replacing the spark plugs and filter, etc, and insert their device and measure the horsepower again. That is really measuring the performance boost caused by everything else not working right, not the product being installed. That particular one qualifies it by saying "0 to 35" as RAiMA pointed out. They also have no data to back up their claims (if they do, it is usually misleading data as I pointed out before).

SO STUPID, never use one of these. makes no sence at all! if the fuel and air came together before this device and went through it together it would mix the air and fuel but on modern fuel injection the injectors are only 5 inches from the intake valve. from a tech point of view absolutly no gain anywhere enless you have carbs that are after this thing.
PS. why is this on forced induction forum? turbo or SC would blow this thing into pieces

Atleast it doesn't claim to give a negative increase in HP.

if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

if a stripper wants to go home with you and has a fake rack, she used to be a man.

It's laughable that they try to market it as an economical supercharger... Someone was asking on this thread about testimonials. I've personally never used it, but I know people who were suckered into it and the response is univesal: It does absolutely nothing. Same product goes by other names, such as "Tornado." Don't worry though, I just bought a CAI for around a C-Note and apparently that does nothing either... haha.

yea it helps to vaporized the...air/fuel mixture...and then...magically...the gas burns more efficiently and your car is faster.
