I have a stock 4.44 open diff for sale $50 + shipping. As to your question on an e30 LSD you will need the halfshafts and probably an M roadster speed sensor, shim the ABS sensors... and that would be it!... strait up swap.

ok not to sound silly but when you say shim the sensor..??what exactly do you mean??

the ABS ring on the e30 halfshafts are bigger than the stock ones, the sensors need to be shimmed (use a spacer/washer) so that it doesn't touch the ABS ring, or it will break the sensor and damage the ABS ring and will have to replace both.

The one I have is the one for the Ti so no need to switch out shafts... and fro what I've seen on how much they charge on eBay... I'd say $60 for shipping and $50 for the Diff... $110 shipped

right now its auto but i am swapping it out in a few weeks to a 5speed and also gonna swap out the motor as well..

then you need a 3.4x or lower Diff... 3.23 would be the way to go if you can find one.

awsome thanks.. i just picked one up from work its a 3.45 lsd from an e30..is what i was told..now i am gonna see today if i find the e30 half shafts...

ok i got one new halfshaft and one old old shaft for now. i ordered a new one for the other side..now ima get cracking on it..ill let you know how it goes.thanks for the help
