Well, since now I have a job 8-) i've naturally begun planning on the upgrades to my car...

first on the list is the friggin exhaust.. I'm rapidly tiring with the rice rocket sound (not that I wanted it in the first place). Sooooo.. I did some homework, and the Supersprint system looks good. Now I'm just wondering if anyone has used one on a 'ti. But I mean the full setup, the SS headers to the connecting pipe (which replaces the cat) to the twin pipe muffler. Well, I can understand if you guys haven't used the cat replacement, but, y'know what I mean.

Are there any power gains? What's it sound like? Is installation as easy as it should be?

Thanks

I have no opinion on the headers but the SS cat back is known to be about the quietist with the most power gains too. Somewhere out there is a comparison chart of a whole bunch of ti exhausts. Stromung would be a good second choice but too loud for me. Both come in single tip style which is good for your (and my) non-sport rear valance. The single tip SS is not all stainless unlike the stromung. If you want to hear audio files of the stromung go to www.understeer.com. I've ridden in that car and it's nice tone but like i said just a little loud for me.

Anyone else got an opinion?

I believe Grassroots Motorsports did a dyno test on ti exhausts a few years back.

At that time, the Supersprint cat-back was deemed best, but they did note that the stock pipes were hard to beat. This is why I never bothered to change the exhaust on my car when I had the four.

The problem is a high strung four sounds pretty much the same regardless of country of origin.

If you want a good stock exhaust (to get rid of the ricer sound) let me know.
